Sims 4 Tray Files Not Showing | Sims 4 CC Emergency Fixer

Lots, rooms, and Sims use Tray files, not the Mods folder. If they are in the wrong place, they will not show in your Library.

Where Tray files go

Tray files belong in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Tray. They do not go inside the Mods folder.

What Tray files look like

Tray downloads can include file types like .trayitem, .blueprint, .bpi, .householdbinary, and .sgi. Keep all files from the same download together.

Check your Library filters

Open your in-game Library and check filters like custom content, lots, households, and rooms. Some items are hidden until custom content is enabled in the Library view.

Important: If a lot uses custom content, you still need the CC files in your Mods folder. Tray files place the build or Sim, but CC files make the items appear correctly.

Restart after adding Tray files

If the game was open while you added files, close and reopen it. Then check your Library again.
